Mind mess are individual ideas and thoughts. You know who you are, by virtue of what you think. This is the level at which you process the world's raw data to make the world meaningful. The mind includes emotions, feelings, memories and other use of the brain. Rishis realized that the mind is organized into its own invisible area, an area of personal memories and beliefs that we as strenuously defends against being harmed as we cherish our physical body.

At this level of consciousness experience playing in the cosmos without borders, the mind can fly anywhere to go, imagining anything. It is your mind is free to interpret the world in any way, and unfortunately, includes some of the ways ignorance of self. It is impossible to limit to limit the mind, but many people fear the gift of freedom. At this level we are up against the self-made borders, as regards faith, fear and prejudice.

The mind is more collectively than individually. I say "my mind" in the sense of my great thoughts and memories, but 90% of our thoughts are admitted from the community and its many distortions. A lot of memories are shared, and the very fabric of thought - language - is a collective creation. Therefore Rishis says that the mind is the first Kosha where whole prevails over separation.
