Chakra is a term of seven energy centers along the body's center line:
Root Chakra, Hara Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, Heart Chakra, Throat Chakra, Pineal Chakra and Crown Chakra.
Imbalances or blockages in the chakra system of energy flow can cause disease. As the chakra system can be viewed as a map of consciousness can be tension in the body related to tensions in the consciousness.
